Job summary

Addepar is hiring a Product Manager to own the roadmap for Observability and Compute/Network within Foundation Engineering. You will define how engineers understand health via metrics/logs/tracing and manage compute/network provisioning. Close collaboration with ISR and platform leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience owning infrastructure-facing products (observability, SRE tooling, cloud compute, or networking platforms).
• Ability to define a product roadmap and deliver infrastructure capabilities.
• Fluency in observability (metrics, logs, tracing, SLOs) or compute/networking domains.
• Experience aligning multiple engineering stakeholders around a shared roadmap.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve roadmaps for Observability and Compute/Network teams across metrics/logging/tracing platforms.
• Balance reliability, security, developer needs, capacity, and cost in roadmap decisions.
• Define outcomes (SLOs, MTTR, etc.) and track progress to prioritize investments.
• Drive self-service instrumentation, dashboards, and provisioning with secure defaults.
• Partner with ISR for secure defaults, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.
• Capture feedback from engineering to identify gaps and translate into priorities.
• Represent roadmaps to leadership and cross-functional partners; communicate tradeoffs clearly.
• Monitor OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog and cloud networking trends for build-vs-buy decisions.
