About the Role:
The Technical Product Manager role is ideal for individuals with deep technical understanding of capital equipment used in food processing environments. This position centers on serving as the product line expert, supporting sales, applications, engineering, marketing, and customer service teams with product knowledge and performance insights. Travel across North America and occasional international travel are expected to support customer visits, demonstrations, product evaluations, and coordination with global product teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support product line strategy by analyzing customer needs, competitive dynamics, and market trends.
- Provide technical guidance during sales opportunities and customer evaluations.
- Collaborate with engineering, product marketing, and global teams to align product improvements and market positioning.
- Assist with machine setup, operational adjustments, and configuration recommendations.
- Participate in new product introductions, training materials, demonstrations, and trade show support.
- Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure product readiness and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Background in capital equipment product management, applications engineering, or related technical support role.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical concepts and communicate clearly across internal and customer-facing audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM, ERP, or project-based tools beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently, including occasional international travel.
