Job summary

athenahealth seeks a senior product leader to drive the roadmap for ADT notifications and Quality Care Gaps integrations. You will guide data-exchange specs with payers and providers, ensuring scalable, compliant, API-first integrations that improve care coordination.

You will collaborate across engineering, CT, and external partners to prioritize features, measure outcomes, and translate clinical needs into actionable epics, PRDs, and user stories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of product management or engineering experience in healthcare tech or integrations.
• Experience with healthcare interoperability standards such as FHIR R4 and HL7 CCD.
• Experience cross-functionally with engineering, client teams, and external partners.
• Proven ability to create and execute product roadmaps and prioritize competing needs.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and writing PRDs, epics, and user stories.
• Experience evaluating or piloting AI tools in product workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and roadmap for ADT notifications and Quality Care Gaps integrations.
• Define epics and user stories with measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with engineering to design secure, scalable data ingestion/transform pipelines.
• Engage payer partners and internal stakeholders to define data exchange specs and gap-closure feedback loops.
• Prioritize and manage the product backlog balancing scope, schedule, and outcomes.
• Monitor regulatory/standards developments and ensure compliance.
• Measure product performance and iterate to improve adoption and impact.
• Foster cross-geo collaboration to support delivery and operations.
• Promote API-first integrations for scalability and maintainability.
• Evaluate AI-assisted tools and guide safe adoption in workflows.
