Contract type: Permanent / Full-time

About the role

We’re looking for a Product Manager - Claims to join our Product team and play a key role in being responsible for product management of Activate Group's claims management system, working alongside our existing Product Owner on the platform. The platform supports customers including First Central and Arval, as well as our internal brands, sopp+sopp and Activate Collision Solutions (ACS).

The role will help own and evolve the roadmap, engage directly with customers and internal stakeholders to gather insights, and ensure the platform continues to meet business goals and deliver maximum value. The Product Manager will work closely with the Head of Product and development teams to translate strategy into high-quality, industry-leading solutions.

This is an exciting time to join Activate Group as we build out a dedicated Product function, with real opportunity to shape best practice and ways of working from the ground up. We're an innovative business, recently recognised with the Motor Transport Award for innovation for our FleetScout platform.

Activate Group is a growing UK business with 1,000+ team members nationwide. This is an exciting opportunity to build a long-term career with a company that values its people and offers genuine development and progression opportunities.

Key responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Support the ownership and maintenance of the claims management product roadmap, balancing innovation with delivery feasibility.
  • Define and prioritise product requirements based on customer and internal stakeholder needs.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with customers, including First Central and Arval, to gather feedback, validate features, and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the business, ensuring product decisions maximise value for users and the business.
  • Engage with stakeholders across sopp+sopp, Activate Collision Solutions (ACS), and other internal teams to ensure product initiatives are aligned with business goals.

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work alongside the existing Product Owner for claims management, the Head of Product, and development teams to translate roadmap priorities into well-defined features, user stories, and deliverables.
  • Ensure delivery teams understand the reasoning behind each product decision, fostering a culture of purpose-driven development.
  • Work with QA, UX/UI, and data teams to ensure the platform remains high quality, intuitive, and measurable.

Market & Industry Awareness

  • Keep ahead of claims management, motor insurance, and fleet trends to ensure our products remain competitive and industry-leading.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for automation and data-led product improvements.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track key product metrics, ensuring that product performance meets expectations and drives ROI.
  • Contribute to establishing best practice in product management processes, tools, and reporting across the team.
Skills and experience
  • Experience in product management, ideally within SaaS, InsurTech, or claims and insurance technology sectors.
  • Track record of delivering successful products from concept to market.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
  • Experience working closely with software development teams in an Agile environment.
  • Comfortable working across multiple internal brands and stakeholder groups.
  • Familiarity with modern UX/UI practices.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Knowledge of insurance, claims, or fleet management industries.
Benefits

We believe in rewarding our people for the great work they do. When you join Activate Group, you can expect:

  • 33 days holiday, including bank holidays
  • Personal health cash plan – claim back the cost of everyday healthcare such as dental and optical check-ups
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental pay
  • Life assurance at three times your basic salary
  • Free breakfasts and fresh fruit
  • A birthday surprise for everyone
