Job summary

Sotheby’s in New York seeks a product manager to own and drive the roadmap for critical internal workflows within our proprietary tools, collaborating with stakeholders, design, and engineering to simplify complex business processes.

You will conduct user research, translate insights into features, prioritize work with cross-functional teams, and help staff adopt new tools. Base salary ranges $80,000–$90,000 with discretionary bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience building software solutions for complex business workflows.
• Writes clear specifications for features, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and support documents (wireframes, flowcharts).
• Identify when to collaborate with design to define problems and include design in ideation.
• Work with larger teams involving technology and business functions to deliver value quickly.
• Understand and contribute to the strategic direction of the product and company.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a roadmap aligned with end-user needs and communicate impact to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, QA, and other product teams to map requirements and deliver solutions.
• Lead prioritization of work and manage requests with stakeholder input.
• Engage in user research and use data to drive decisions.
• Collaborate with business partners to drive adoption of new tools and features.
• Maintain strong working relationships with sponsors, stakeholders, and users to prioritize outcomes.
