Bloomberg L.P. is seeking a Product Manager for Alternative Data focused on dataset evaluation and onboarding.

You will own the evaluation pipeline, translate product requirements into rigorous frameworks, and collaborate with data engineers and providers to productionize new datasets. You will drive end-to-end onboarding plans, ensure data quality post-launch, and partner with data scientists, engineers, and vendors to scale the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product experience, with meaningful time spent on alternative data products.
• Strong understanding of how institutional investors use alternative data.
• Experience building or managing structured analytical or operational processes in data evaluation, quality, or onboarding.
• Hands-on experience with data quality frameworks, QA practices, and delivering reliable data at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the dataset evaluation process end-to-end, including prioritization and timelines.
• Translate product requirements into evaluation frameworks and outputs.
• Collaborate with engineering evaluations team on requirements and results.
• Engage with data providers to gather information needed for assessments.
• Improve evaluation processes to increase speed, rigor, and scalability.
• Own the end-to-end onboarding plan for newly contracted datasets including delivery requirements.
• Define precise data and operational specifications bridging product needs with engineering and providers.
• Define and monitor data quality for onboarded datasets post-launch.
• Drive cross-functional execution with data scientists, engineers, and data vendors.
