Job summary

Bloomberg seeks a Product Manager for Alternative Data—Data Evaluations and Onboarding in New York. You will own the end-to-end evaluation pipeline, define evaluation frameworks, and coordinate with engineering and data providers to onboard datasets efficiently.

You will lead cross-functional efforts across data science, engineering, and product leadership to improve data quality, throughput, and scalability, while delivering decision-ready outputs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product experience in alt data or similar
• Experience translating requirements into operational specs
• Strong communication with data engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders
• Ability to manage end-to-end data evaluation and onboarding processes
• Experience with data quality frameworks and QA practices

Responsibilities

• Own the evaluation pipeline end-to-end: prioritization, timelines, throughput.
• Translate product requirements into evaluation criteria and outputs.
• Collaborate with engineering evaluations team to define analytical requirements.
• Engage with data providers to gather information for assessments.
• Standardize and streamline evaluation workflows for speed and rigor.
• Own onboarding plan for newly contracted datasets, from delivery to launch criteria.
• Translate product and business needs into data and operational specs for engineering and providers.
• Define ongoing data quality monitoring for onboarded datasets.
• Drive cross-functional execution with data scientists, engineers, and data vendors.
