Job description

Go4 is a sports safety and intelligence platform. We place credentialed Athletic Trainers at events and venues. Every shift produces structured data: a verified credential check, a venue-specific emergency action plan, and a clinical record filed on site. More than 26,000 Athletic Trainers work through Go4, serving more than 5,000 schools, colleges, leagues, and facilities across all 50 states. We work remotely and bring the whole company together in person four times a year.

The coverage is the service and the record is the asset. Go4 is becoming the authoritative record of who provided medical coverage, where, and to what standard. That record is the data layer that makes credentialing, governance, and insurance underwriting possible at scale.

We are building our first internal product and engineering organization to deliver V2 of the Go4 platform. V2 is not a rewrite of a side project. It is the evolution of a live, revenue-generating platform into a modern suite of applications, services, and data.

About the Role

The Product Analyst provides the analytical foundation for V2 product decisions, launch measurement, and the post-V2 expansion roadmap. You will work with marketplace, behavioral, transactional, operational, and product data to show where opportunities are, how V2 is performing, where users hit friction, and which expansion bets deserve investment.

You will also build the measurement and feedback systems a growing product organization needs, and establish governed definitions that the whole company can rely on rather than each team maintaining its own version of the truth.

You will work directly with product management, engineering leadership, application engineering, company leadership, and customer-facing teams.

You would join Go4’s first internal product and engineering cohort alongside the Senior Solutions Engineer, the Lead Application Engineer, the Product Manager, and the Product Analyst, under our Head of Technology. The four of you arrive together, evaluate the platform vision, and set the standards everyone after you inherits.

In this role, you will:
  • Analyze product, marketplace, transactional, and commercial data to support product decisions.
  • Establish V2 KPIs and measurement frameworks across activation, engagement, conversion, retention, marketplace behavior, and feature adoption.
  • Define instrumentation requirements with product and engineering before features ship, rather than discovering after launch that the data was never captured.
  • Build reporting and analytical views that make product behavior understandable to people who do not write SQL.
  • Analyze funnels, cohorts, user journeys, and marketplace behavior.
  • Evaluate expansion opportunities and quantify their likely impact.
  • Partner with the Product Manager on roadmap prioritization and post-launch learning.
  • Support customer research, focus groups, pilot analysis, and rollout evaluation, and help design QA, product validation, and production handoff workflows.
  • Establish governed analytical definitions and data structures that can grow with the company.
  • Contribute to the analytical foundation for future operational intelligence, safety scoring, forecasting, and data products.
What the first year looks like:

We have already written the scorecard you would be reviewed against. It has four objectives, and they carry from this description into your 2027 performance review unchanged.

  • A V2 measurement framework that exists before launch.KPIs and instrumentation are defined ahead of the features they measure.
  • Trusted definitions and reporting the team actually uses. One version of each metric, and views people open without asking.
  • Analytical evidence driving the roadmap.Prioritization and expansion decisions trace to analysis rather than opinion.
  • Launch readiness and rollout measured. We know whether V2 is working while it is rolling out, not afterward.
You might thrive in this role if you:
  • Are highly comfortable working directly with data, with advanced SQL as a given rather than a goal.
  • Have done real product analytics, including funnel and conversion analysis, cohort and retention analysis, and feature performance evaluation.
  • Have designed KPIs that a team actually used to make decisions, rather than a dashboard nobody opened.
  • Can translate an ambiguous business question into a measurable analysis, and then explain the conclusion to people who are not analysts.
  • Have worked directly with relational or transactional datasets rather than only with a modeled layer somebody else built.
  • Are comfortable discussing event instrumentation, data definitions, data quality, source of truth questions, schema changes, telemetry, and pipelines with engineers.
  • Can collaborate with engineers on how a question becomes measurable, before the feature ships.
  • Use AI in your current work and can describe how the changes in available tooling has impacted specific workflows, data framing principals, and approach to product data analysis. We currently run on Claude, and are continuously adapting our workflows to empower a small team to cover this scope by way of that leverage.
Also valuable:
  • Experience in marketplaces, healthcare, workforce technology, SaaS, insurance, sports technology, or other transaction-heavy businesses.
  • Python, dbt, modern analytical warehouses, product analytics platforms, or BI tooling. Specific vendors matter less than analytical judgment.
  • A background in product analytics, marketplace analytics, strategy and operations, growth analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis.
  • Work that materially changed what a product team decided to build.
About Go4

Go4’s purpose is to become the record of who provided medical coverage, where, and to what standard. Every athlete deserves a credentialed professional on site, and every organization deserves proof that one was there.

Compensation

$95K to $125K plus equity

The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to the salary range listed above, total compensation includes a meaningful equity grant, an annual performance bonus, and the following benefits.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family, with Go4 contributing 50% of premium cost.
  • Flexible, uncapped paid time off, plus ten paid company holidays.
  • Fully remote, anywhere in the U.S., with core collaboration hours of 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM ET, and four company gatherings a year.

We are building our first internal product and engineering organization, and we view this team differently from hires joining an established department. We structure compensation to give early team members real participation in the long-term value they help create, and we expect the responsibilities and leadership opportunities in this role to expand as the platform and the organization do.

More details about our benefits are available to candidates during the hiring process. This role is at-will and Go4 reserves the right to modify base pay and other compensation components at any time based on individual performance, team or company results, or market conditions.
