Job summary

HP Enterprise is seeking a senior product leader to design, plan, develop, and manage a portfolio through its lifecycle. The role drives end-to-end strategy and a robust product roadmap while refining value propositions for target customers and building solid business cases.

The candidate will synthesize market requirements into actionable marketing insights and advise stakeholders across all lifecycle phases, collaborating across engineering, supply chain, and marketing to optimize margins.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of work experience in related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop product strategy and lead teams.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.

Job description

  • Designs, plans, develops and manages a product or portfolio of products throughout the solution portfolio lifecycle: from new product definition or enhancements to existing products; planning, design, forecasting, and production; to end of life
  • Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary
  • Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower-level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives
  • Leads and drives the end-to-end strategy and operational product roadmap for a product
  • Defines the value proposition, target customer segments, and business case to bring one or more innovative and disruptive products to market with respect to the whole company product portfolio (i.e. Product configuration mix, Revenue/Margins, financials, market share)
  • Synthesizes market requirements (MRD) into marketing/customer details through having intimate customer knowledge and business, financial and industry market acumen
  • Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle (e.g., planning, development, launch, management, exit)
  • Creates goal alignment and collaborates across value chain partners to optimize margins and enable success of product per plans across the product lifecycle. (ie. Engineering: product development, Supply Chain: SKUs, inventory and Marketing: marketing and pricing strategies and Go To Market Plan)
