Bobyard, an AI-powered construction takeoff startup, is seeking a product leader to own the roadmap end-to-end. You will spend substantial time with estimators, PMs, and GCs to deeply understand workflows and shape the vision for next bets in an early-stage environment.
You will own 0→1 work, collaborate with engineering and design, and align with marketing and sales to articulate how we talk about what we build. This in-person role is based in SF with equity options as part of the compensation.
Construction is a trillion dollar industry that still runs largely on PDFs, rulers, and manual processes.
The biggest bottleneck is cost estimation. Takeoffs are manual and slow — estimators spend days counting materials from drawings by hand, and mistakes are costly.
Bobyard is automating construction takeoff with AI. We use computer vision and NLP to read drawings faster and more accurately than manual review, and we're working to bring more of pre-construction into software.
We're a small team backed by 8VC, Primary, and Pear.
As we scale our core product and launch new 0→1 bets, we're looking for a product leader who can own the roadmap end-to-end. You'll:
Spend real time with customers: estimators, PMs, and GCs. Understand their workflow deeply.
Shape vision and roadmap: decide what we build, what we cut, and why.
Own 0→1 work: take ideas from concept to shipped, tested, and iterated.
Work closely with engineering and design — no throw-it-over-the-wall handoffs.
Align with marketing and sales on how we talk about what we build.
High ownership and comfort with ambiguity — you figure things out and ship
Fast learner — no construction background required, but you'll need to get up to speed quickly
Genuine interest in an early-stage environment where the playbook isn't written yet
Strong organizational skills — you'll get a lot of input from customers and need to turn it into a clear plan
Competitive salary plus equity options (target $140K–$170K)
Work directly with a small, hands-on team
This is a full-time, in-person role in SF. We think we have a real product advantage in a large market — if you're excited to help us build on that and take care of our customers, we'd love to talk.
We are proud to offer competitive, top-of-market compensation because we want to celebrate the dedicated people who ship amazing work and drive our success. Our individual compensation is thoughtfully tailored based on your role, experience, and contributions, alongside performance-based rewards.
