Position Summary: The Product Manager is responsible for driving strategy, execution, and performance of the Nylon Solutions portfolio business exceeding $700M in revenue. This role serves as the linchpin across commercial, operational, supply chain, finance and other strategic functions. Own the full product lifecycle, defining and executing pricing strategy, leading demand planning through S&OP, and driving growth through innovation and portfolio optimization.

The successful candidate will serve as a strategic architect, business integrator, and change agent, working cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Executive Leadership to deliver sustained business performance. The role requires a data-driven mindset, commercial acumen, and leadership to simplify processes and embed best-in-class practices — especially across demand planning and business transformation through S4 HANA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Portfolio Strategy & Performance Management

  • Own full responsibility for effective execution of the $700M Nylon Solutions product portfolio across North America.
  • Develop and execute product line strategies that maximize revenue, profitability, and return on assets.
  • Define and manage the product roadmap, including introduction of new offerings, lifecycle optimization, and portfolio rationalization.
  • Monitor and respond to market dynamics, competitor moves, customer insights, and margin pressures with agility.

Demand Planning & S&OP Leadership

  • Lead the S&OP process for the business, aligning demand forecasts with sales strategy, production planning, and financial targets.
  • Work closely with Sales and Supply Chain to shape demand, optimize inventory, and ensure product availability.
  • Act as a key driver of S4 HANA business transformation, designing and implementing simplified, standardized demand planning processes.

Pricing & Commercial Excellence

  • Develop and implement pricing strategy by customer segment, channel, and application to drive product value and margin growth.
  • Provide pricing guidance to Sales, ensuring execution of product netbacks, customer agreements, and contract targets.
  • Lead the pricing excellence discipline, including margin mix analysis, deal analysis, transactional pricing controls, and proactive market-based pricing moves.
  • Aligning with Sales, Finance, and Marketing on promotional strategies, pricing models, and revenue recognition.

Market and Customer Insight

  • Conduct competitive analysis, industry trend assessments, and voice-of-customer research to shape commercial strategies.
  • Translate customer needs into actionable product or service solutions — aligning with R&D, Tech Service, and Marketing.
  • Own value proposition development and differentiation narratives for key product families and market verticals.

Business Planning & Transformation

  • Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan and Long-Term Strategic Plan, including volume, pricing, margin, and capital allocation outlooks.
  • Integrate market insight and business intelligence into forecasts and executive-level decision-making.
  • Support M&A diligence and integration from a product perspective, where applicable.

Quality, Service, and Delivery

  • Partner with Operations and Quality to ensure customer complaint resolution, product quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Act as the commercial voice in cross-functional teams resolving supply, quality, or service issues.

Leadership

  • Serve as a change champion, capable of influencing across functions to embed new ways of working.
  • Exhibit transparent, collaborative communication across commercial and operational teams.
  • Help foster a culture of customer-centricity, operational rigor, and strategic thinking.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytical or technical discipline (Engineering, Business, or Science); MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience across commercial functions (e.g., product management, supply chain, sales, planning, operations)

Additional Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale product lines in chemicals, materials, or manufacturing
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze P&L, pricing models, and margin drivers
  • Skilled in cross-functional leadership and stakeholder alignment
  • Proficiency in SAP, BW, Power BI, and Excel; skilled in developing tools and dashboards to support business decisions
  • Experience in enterprise transformation (e.g., S4 HANA, digital demand planning tools) is a strong plus
