Job summary

Bear Robotics, Inc. is seeking aProduct Manager of robotics products to drive strategy, roadmap, and cross-functional execution. You will collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to translate user needs into actionable requirements and prioritized features.

Job Summary:

This position will play a crucial role in driving the development and success of the company’s products. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to define product strategies, gather requirements, and prioritize features. This position requires an individual with analytical and strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a passion for building innovative products that address user needs.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and refine product strategies and roadmaps. Identify market opportunities, conduct competitive analysis, and define product goals and objectives. Ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Requirements Gathering and Prioritization: Gather and analyze user requirements through user research, feedback, and data analysis. Translate user needs into clear product requirements and specifications. Prioritize features based on business value, user impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional teams to define and deliver high-quality products. Communicate product vision, requirements, and updates effectively to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
  • Product Development and Execution: Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely and successful product delivery. Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure product quality and performance.
  • User Experience and Design: Collaborate with designers to create intuitive and user-friendly product experiences. Provide guidance on user interface design, interaction flows, and visual aesthetics. Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to improve product usability and satisfaction.
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Leverage data and analytics to make data-driven product decisions. Conduct data analysis, including user behavior analysis, market trends analysis, and performance tracking. Use insights to drive product improvements and optimize product performance.
  • Product Launch and Adoption: Plan and execute product launches, including feature rollouts, marketing campaigns, and customer education initiatives. Monitor product adoption and engagement metrics. Gather user feedback post-launch to drive iterative improvements.
  • Industry and Market Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and inform product strategy.
  • Customer Site Engagement: Frequently visit customer sites alongside the commercial team to observe product usage in real-world environments, gather direct feedback, and identify needs.
  • Perform other related duties or specialized areas as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of robotics-related experience
  • Background in robotics or hardware systems
  • High adaptability and comfort working in dynamic, field-based customer environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to gather and analyze user requirements and translate them into product specifications.
  • Knowledge of product management methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and collaborative environment.
  • Passion for technology and innovation.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Engineering).

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer. The employee routinely is required to sit; stand, walk; talk and hear; use hands to keyboard
  • Ability to travel frequently to customer sites and work in field environments
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.

The pay range for this position is $126K - $152K. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience.
