Senior Product Associate / Product Manager (Consultant)

Location: Remote (U.S.) with up to 30% travel to New York

Industry: Financial Services / Payments

Employment Type: Consulting / Contract (W2 position only)

Work Authorization: Visas are acceptable (any EAD). Candidates must be eligible to work on W2 and must not require sponsorship for at least 6–12 months.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Associate / Product Manager (Consultant) to support a strategic initiative with a global Big 4 technology consulting firm. In this role, you will partner with an existing co-branded credit card product team to define product requirements, drive roadmap execution, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver customer-facing financial products.

This opportunity is ideal for a product professional who thrives in a scaled Agile environment and has experience delivering payments or credit card products within the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate with an existing co-branded credit card product team to define and document functional and non-functional requirements in JIRA and Confluence
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across design, data, business, and engineering teams to identify dependencies and drive prioritization
• Collaborate with technical teams to define technical requirements, APIs, and system integrations
• Work with product and program leadership to develop and maintain the product roadmap
• Identify risks, blockers, and open items while collaborating with program teams to develop mitigation strategies
• Manage backlog grooming, prioritization, and execution within a scaled Agile product delivery environment
• Support the launch of market-facing and customer-facing product releases
• Provide guidance to junior product team members, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of Product Management experience
• Experience within the Financial Services industry
• Experience with payments products, ideally co-branded credit cards
• Proven experience gathering and documenting product requirements
• Strong experience writing requirements and user stories in JIRA
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with design, data, business, and engineering teams
• Experience identifying and resolving product risks and blockers
• Experience contributing to or managing product roadmaps
• Experience working in Agile or scaled Agile product delivery environments
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior product team members
• Understanding of backend systems, APIs, or product integrations

Technical Skills

• Product Management: Advanced (6–9 years)
• JIRA: Advanced (6–9 years)
• Confluence: Advanced (6–9 years)
• Atlassian Tools: Intermediate (3–5 years)
• API Management / API-driven product environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience launching customer-facing financial products
