Our team has an incredibly ambitious vision to completely transform the way businesses and consumers interact in financial services. We’re looking to hire strong team members to grow the team. Some of the traits we look for are:

  • Owner Mentality - Desire to take initiative, identify problems, and implement solutions
  • Mission Driven - Passion for building AI/ML solutions that reimagine how businesses and consumers operate
  • Intellectually Curious - Excitement going deep for building detailed understanding of the function, role, customer, and problem space
  • Team Oriented - Ability to collaborate respectfully and put the team above the self
The Role

Black Ore Technologies is seeking a Product Manager to define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our AI-powered automation products. You’ll work with customers, GTM teams, and engineers to translate insights into new features and product opportunities, driving end-to-end execution from concept to launch. This role blends strategy and execution — ideal for someone who thrives in customer conversations, moves quickly from insight to action, and wants to shape how AI transforms the tax and financial services industry.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ Years Experience – In product management, ideally within SaaS, AI, or fintech environments
  • Deeply Customer Oriented – Strong customer empathy and design thinking; able to uncover pain points and translate insights into impactful product strategy
  • Excellent Cross-Functional Collaboration Skills – Proven ability to lead small, multidisciplinary teams and align engineering, design, and GTM toward shared outcomes
  • Clear Communicator – Skilled at translating between technical and non-technical audiences, distilling complex systems into clear, compelling narratives
  • Execution Oriented – Operates with urgency and accountability, driving ideas from concept to shipped product with a bias toward action
  • Analytical Thinker – Uses data, experimentation, and sound judgment to guide prioritization and evaluate impact
  • Strategic Leader – Balances long-term vision with fast, execution-driven problem solving in dynamic environments
  • Market-Aware – Deep understanding of customer workflows, competitive landscape, and the commercial levers that influence adoption
  • Passion for AI – Demonstrated curiosity and hands-on engagement with AI tools, systems, and emerging research

Preferred Qualifications

  • High-Growth Environment – Experience operating in a fast-paced startup or scaling company environment
  • Technical Background – Prior experience in a hands-on technical role (e.g., software engineer, data scientist, or AI/ML engineer)
  • Technical Education – BA/BS in a technical or analytical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, or related)
  • AI Product Experience – Proven track record building or shipping products that leverage AI or advanced data systems
  • Fluency in LLM Systems – Familiarity with prompting, fine-tuning, embeddings, retrieval, and evaluation — with the ability to apply these concepts to user-facing products
  • Prototyping & Design Tools – Comfort using modern prototyping tools (e.g., Cursor, Bolt, Claude Code) and collaboration environments such as Figma and Git
  • Complex Systems Experience – Background building products for technical, financial, or enterprise domains requiring deep systems thinking
