Job summary

Google in Mountain View is seeking a mid-level Product Manager to drive product strategy, define roadmaps, and collaborate with engineering, UX/UI, sales and finance across the lifecycle from conception to retirement. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years in Product Management or related field.
  • Master’s degree with 1 year in Product Management or related field.
  • 1 year of experience product lifecycle from conception to launch; cross-functional collaboration; market/trend analysis; and prioritization of user goals.

Responsibilities

  • Define product roadmaps and strategic visions from market analysis, user needs, and competitive insights.
  • Create PRDs prioritizing user expectations, security, and business goals to guide development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI, legal, and marketing to align development with go-to-market plans.
  • Prioritize features and schedules with engineering to resolve technical challenges and trade-offs.
  • Manage full product lifecycle from launch to retirement with approvals, docs, and compliance; track success metrics and drive data-informed iterations.

  • Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Product Management-related occupation.
  • Position requires 1 year of experience in the following: Managing technical products from conception to launch OR Managing product development lifecycle from delivery to sunsetting; Synthesizing technical and business options into credible solutions; Analyzing product market challenges, competitor functionalities, and external trends; Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, and finance; and Prioritizing user goals and needs during solution brainstorming.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000 - $198,000 + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location. Position reports to the Google Mountain View, CA office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy.

Responsibilities
  • Define product roadmaps and strategic visions by analyzing market landscapes, user needs, and competitive insights to secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Create comprehensive product requirements documents (PRDs) that prioritize user expectations, security standards, and business goals to guide technical development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, UX, legal, and marketing to align development efforts with go-to-market plans.
  • Prioritize project features and execution schedules in partnership with engineering to resolve technical challenges and manage trade-offs.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle from launch to retirement by coordinating approvals, documentation, and compliance across all partner teams. Establish quantitative and qualitative success metrics to track product performance, validate opportunities, and drive data-informed iterations.
