Job summary

Google is seeking a Product Manager for YouTube based in Mountain View to define product roadmaps, create PRDs, and guide cross-functional teams across engineering, UX/UI, legal, and marketing.

You will own the full product lifecycle from conception to launch, analyze market trends, and align with business goals to deliver value while balancing security and user needs. Hybrid schedule may apply and compensation includes a base salary plus bonus and equity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field with 3 years of experience in product management or related occupation.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field with 1 year of experience in product management or related occupation.
  • Experience in managing technical products from conception to launch; synthesizing options into solutions; analyzing market challenges and external trends; collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, and finance; prioritizing user goals during brainstorming.

Responsibilities

  • Define product roadmaps and strategic visions by analyzing market landscapes, user needs, and competitive insights to secure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Create PRDs prioritizing user expectations, security standards, and business goals to guide technical development.
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, legal, and marketing to align development with go-to-market plans.
  • Prioritize project features and execution schedules with engineering to resolve technical challenges and manage trade-offs.
  • Manage full product lifecycle from launch to retirement, coordinating approvals, documentation, and compliance across partner teams; establish metrics to track performance and drive data-informed iterations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Product Management-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration Management Information Systems (MIS) or a related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Product Management-related occupation.
  • Position requires 1 year of experience in the following: Managing technical products from conception to launch OR Managing product development lifecycle from delivery to sunsetting; Synthesizing technical and business options into credible solutions; Analyzing product market challenges, competitor functionalities, and external trends; Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, and finance; and Prioritizing user goals and needs during solution brainstorming.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000 - $198,000 + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Position reports to the Google Mountain View, CA office & may allow for a hybrid schedule as per Google policy.
