WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Product Manager, you will lead the clinical product vision and strategy including nursing, medicine, and health professions for our Jones and Bartlett Learning Product Delivery Team. As a key member of our product team, you will be instrumental in driving the growth and success of our product offerings, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our customers and the market.

WHERE YOU'LL WORK

This position offers the flexibility of remote work within the United States, with the requirement to work in Central Standard Time (CST).

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME

  • Establish overall vision, strategic priorities, and goals for a product line in alignment with organizational objectives and market trends.
  • Develop and manage long-term strategic roadmap at the product line level.
  • Conduct comprehensive market and competitive analysis, analyze industry and market data, gather customer feedback, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize new products, prioritize opportunities, and create roadmaps.
  • Build strategic relationships with clients, partners and external stakeholders to collect information about their needs/preferences related to product and related services.
  • Translate customer feedback and market trends into clearly defined product releases and business cases, addressing market needs for enhancements and new versions.
  • Play a critical role in cross functional product delivery team (PDT), including with the business and development stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of product vision and priorities to drive effective cross-functional execution to create, release, and maintain products.
  • Monitor and optimize product performance and financials (including revenue and margins), usage/adoption, to ensure sustainable profitability and growth for the product line. Propose enhancements or adjustments in pricing as needed.
  • Lead, collaborate with, and motivate a cross-functional team of designers, educational content experts, editorial and media professionals, technical developers, testers, and others to develop, execute and release in alignment with program and/or product roadmaps.
  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans, pricing strategies, and implementation plans for product lines to effectively launch and promote solutions in the market in collaboration with sales and marketing leaders.
  • Act as the customer advocate in decision-making for future product development.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree required in related fields, such as Business Administration, Marketing or other areas combined with relevant work experience.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • 5+ years of combined experience in product management, business management, or consulting.
  • 2+ years of Healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Proven track record in building compelling value propositions for customers and key strategies for product-related business objectives.
  • Proven experience in analytical and strategic problem solving with a history of making data-driven decisions.
  • An exceptional communicator and collaborator, adept at working across different functions and diverse cultures.
  • Additional training or certifications in areas such as product management, strategic planning, leadership, or project management may enhance the candidate's qualifications.
  • Pragmatic Marketing experience preferred.
  • Education product management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Healthcare product management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of higher education is preferred.
  • Objective research skills to understand targeted markets, clients, and competition, translating insights into viable product solutions.
  • Expertise in creating and managing product roadmaps, scopes, and budgets based on needs, requirements, and resources.
  • Knowledge of nursing and health professions education, healthcare industry landscape, and market drivers.
  • Proven track record of launching innovative and disruptive technology and products.
  • Exceptional prioritization skills to align with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to travel for client interactions, industry events, and meetings.
