We're a team that dares to look at the world's challenges and see impactful possibilities. We believe in a better future when we uplift others and enable our people to thrive at work and at home. We boldly go.

The Product Manager for Service Parts & Supplies will have full responsibility – and accountability – for meeting or exceeding the product line’s organic revenue, market share and contribution margin objectives ensuring that all product and marketing efforts support the Trane HVAC Supply business’ overall strategy and goals. The position will collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain and other functions to ensure that the offerings deliver value that meets customer expectations for the different HVAC Supply market segments. Strong analytical skills will be required to make fact-based decisions to prioritize customer segments with well-designed and delivered offerings.

What You Will Do
  • Lead Service Parts & Supplies product line strategy development, as well as P&L and yearly operating planning for the product line
  • Lead Product Growth Team and strategic A3 for both portfolios; partnering with Supply Chain, Procurement and Engineering as core PGT members
  • Maintain ongoing channel engagement to support both the direct retail stores, e-tailers, independent distributors, and operations teams to enable product line growth
  • Identify ways to accelerate growth through collaboration with internal plants and external supply partners
  • Prepare "business pulse" and financial reports on the product line on a regular basis to keep business leaders informed of progress on volume, profitability, and quality targets
  • Lead/coordinate efforts to understand unmet customer needs for new products or line extensions and determine what product offering features to develop
  • Maintain an updated product mix by leveraging Trane Technologies’ business operating system standard work and tools
  • Conduct regularly scheduled, customer-focused portfolio reviews of all product/service lines under management, enabling effective decisions related to product lifecycle management (including product rationalization)
  • Coordinate with the marketing, commercialization, and sales teams to review and adjust the portfolio marketing strategy, plan (including targeted programs and promotions) and countermeasures for all existing product/service lines based on performance
  • Conduct regular industry, market, and competitor analysis, including detailed segmentation of end consumers and customers. Quantify growth opportunities that would allow Trane Supply to participate in markets that are growing faster and more profitably
  • Support the training of Account Managers on the Service Parts & Supplies product line. Proficiently deliver training and development to small and large groups, as needed
What You Will Bring
  • Product Life-Cycle Management – Understanding of how products move through their lifecycle and how to maximize margin at each stage
  • Strong Business Acumen and experience building strategies
  • Sales and Marketing knowledge – Building marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Customer and Channel Strategy – Capable of analyzing end user and channel segments to identify and target the most profitable segments
  • Pricing Strategy – Determine product line pricing objectives, policies, and strategies consistent with the overall portfolio and business strategy
  • Strong analytical and financial skills to allow you to make decisions around product and/or service offerings to accelerate profitable growth
  • Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence/inspire (highly collaborative)
  • Energetic, passionate, driven, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal, communication, and presentation skills
Qualifications
  • Must be able to travel 15% of the time.
  • Minimum of 4 years of functional experience needed
  • 4 year degree in either Marketing, Business, Engineering or related field. MBA preferred.
