Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Texas is seeking a Product Manager to own discovery, definition, and delivery for clinical software features guided by strategy and roadmap. You will run discovery with ordering physicians, pathologists, geneticists, laboratory operations, and commercial teams to validate problems before proposing solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • 4+ years in product management, including technical/platform-scoped products.
  • Experience writing epics and user stories for regulated environments.
  • Experience defining/ad tracking adoption, utilization or outcomes.
  • Proven cross-stakeholder collaboration with documented decisions.
  • Fluency with generative AI tools for product work.

Responsibilities

  • Own discovery, definition, and delivery for clinical software features per strategy and roadmap.
  • Run discovery with physicians, pathologists, geneticists, and operations; validate problems.
  • Write actionable PRs/epics/user stories with acceptance criteria for engineering.
  • Backlog grooming and releasing scope with evidence-based decisions.
  • Surface automation opportunities and guide roadmap integration.
  • Track post-launch adoption and propose iterations or retirement.
  • Lead stakeholder sessions and navigate trade-offs.
  • Leverage AI for synthesis, drafting requirements, and docs.
  • Coordinate with QA, regulatory, and senior partners on readiness.

Job Responsibilities
  • Own discovery, definition, and delivery for assigned features and capability areas within a clinical software product, guided by strategy and roadmap.
  • Run discovery with ordering physicians, pathologists, geneticists, laboratory operations, and commercial teams; validate problems before proposing solutions.
  • Write product requirements (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria) actionable for engineering and sufficient for a regulated environment.
  • Sequence and groom the backlog (value-ordered and evidence-backed).
  • Scope releases; assemble launch-readiness evidence; support go/no-go decisions with senior product, engineering, quality, and regulatory partners.
  • Track adoption/utilization post-launch; propose iteration or retirement based on evidence.
  • Lead stakeholder working sessions; make trade-offs visible.
  • Use generative AI for discovery synthesis, analysis, requirements drafting, and documentation.
  • Surface manual workflow steps and bring automation candidates to the roadmap.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (Business, CS, Engineering, Health Informatics, or related) or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years in product management (or equivalent), including technical/platform-scoped products.
  • Experience writing structured requirements (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria) that shipped.
  • Experience defining/tracking adoption, utilization, or outcome measures to inform decisions.
  • Proven cross-stakeholder collaboration with documented decisions.
  • Fluency with generative AI tools for product work.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA).
  • Healthcare diagnostics, molecular pathology, clinical laboratory, or life sciences software experience.
  • Experience with FDA, SOX, CLIA, or HIPAA-governed environments.
  • Ability to translate regulatory constraints into product requirements.
  • Agile delivery framework/tooling familiarity.
  • Strong written/verbal communication across technical and clinical stakeholders.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit/stand and work at a computer for extended periods.
Other
  • Periodic travel; occasional evenings/weekends/holidays to support business needs.
