As a Product Manager embedded in one of our Software divisions, you belong to the functional team whose work encompasses product strategy, product delivery, product management & product operations. This role will initially require you to lead the development of a scalable framework for integrating clinical and preclinical data applications by defining and prioritizing product requirements and roadmaps that enhance data accessibility, quality, and usability. Drive cross-functional initiatives to implement data integration strategies that ensure seamless interoperability across research, clinical, and informatics systems, supporting translational science and data-driven decision-making.
You and your colleagues in Product Management specifically are charged with:
- Gathering, prioritizing requirements from the market (customers and non-customers) and from across the Certara product teams
- Being accountable for decision-making, problem selection, and business outcomes
- Guiding product lifecycle from ideation to development to go-to-market to scaled product-market-fit
- Targeting R&D investments towards maximum value for customers and business ROI

Qualifications
Must Have
- Proven experience designing and implementing application integrations, including system interoperability and data exchange across platforms.
- Strong background working with data-intensive applications, with demonstrated expertise in data capture, data flow architecture, and data analysis to support business and scientific objectives.
- Strength in working across the portfolio to evangelize the capabilities of the integration platform and lobby for adoption in support of key use cases
- Fastidious for facts, insistent on evidence- and data-driven choices, able to separate signal from noise
- Systems-thinking and ability to predict or extrapolate to second, third, and fourth order effects
- Adept at analytics, independent research, unscripted interviews, and other intel-gathering techniques
- Not afraid to speak up and veto a bad idea, or have your ideas vetoed in favor of what the team prioritized
- Curious about our clients and products, cautious with our brand and industry goodwill, conscientious in follow-through
- Willing to learn and serve, flexible in adapting to rapid organizational change, receptive of constructive criticism
- High tolerance for ambiguity, low tolerance for mess; able to create order out of chaos, attend to details, and push quality higher
- Relentlessly resourceful and discerning in solving problems independently and across multi-disciplinary teams
- Fluency in leading product launch readiness across functions including Support, Commercial, Customer Success, and more
Preferred
- Intimate familiarity with a specific scientific domain, such as biosimulation, PK/PD modelling, clinical trial data standardization and analysis, etc.
- Ability to work remotely with strong written and spoken communication; skill in exerting influence without formal authority
- Education or qualifications relating to business, programming, data science, health sciences, medical writing, customer support, project management, or corporate communications
- Experience with a software-as-a-service (SaaS) vendor, clinical laboratory, pharmaceutical company, or Contract Research Organization (CRO)
