A globally leading consumer technology company is seeking a Product Manager to join its Retail Technology team. In this role, you’ll take product requirements from early problem framing through launch for complex, cross-functional initiatives. You’ll work with Engineering, Design, Legal, Marketing and business partners to deliver solutions that fit the broader Retail Technology portfolio.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition of product requirements and supporting documentation for complex, cross-functional initiatives, so the team has a validated approach that fits the broader Retail Technology portfolio.
- Look for synergies with other teams and existing technologies, reusing current capabilities where possible instead of building redundant solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor across Engineering, Design, Legal, Marketing and business stakeholders, aligning teams on goals, timelines and technical constraints.
- Negotiate feature approaches across the portfolio, often without formal authority.
- Lead design reviews, solution reviews and prioritization discussions, grounding decisions in store feedback, operational readiness, and qualitative and quantitative evidence.
- Plan and lead software release cycles: prioritize features, coordinate schedules across platforms, run user testing, and keep partners updated on roadmaps, delivery status and change management.
- Track product health after launch and manage it on an ongoing basis.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of dedicated product management experience, delivering product roadmaps from ideation through launch and ongoing support. This includes problem framing, defining success criteria, mapping journeys, data and systems, concept creation, prototyping, requirements documentation, and backlog prioritization.
- Direct experience as a product manager for native iOS/Android or web applications, gained at a retail, consumer products, consulting or SaaS company.
- A track record of planning and leading software release cycles across multiple platforms.
- Experience partnering with engineering and design teams on complex technology initiatives, with the technical fluency to form an informed view on system and architecture trade-offs.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners without formal authority, and to manage timelines, dependencies and risk across multiple workstreams.
- Clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
