Job summary

Freddie Mac in McLean, Virginia seeks a Product Management IT Risk Associate to support the Technology Risk Management team and contribute to end-to-end product management, readiness, integration, and governance for deployment activities.

You will assist with requirements, backlogs in JIRA, risk mitigation, testing (UAT, smoke, automated), and rollout activities including training and user guides. A background in product management and risk/compliance within financial services is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Risk Management or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in project or product management, operational risk management, technology risk management, or related governance.
• Working knowledge of Agile framework, PMI project or product management methodology, SDLC delivery, and financial industry governance and compliance practices.
• Previous experience in IT, operational risk management, regulatory compliance or financial services organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the Product owner with end-to-end product management activities
• Product Owner readiness and development integration activities
• Develop, enhance, and maintain requirements and governance tasks for deployment activities
• Support Sprint Planning
• Create and maintain user stories and conduct backlog grooming in JIRA
• Impediment tracking and escalation
• Execute risk mitigant processes to support compliance with NFRs and Directives
• Develop and prepare regular reports for key stakeholders
• Perform testing activities including UAT, Smoke testing, and automated suite testing
• Support rollout activities including communication, training and development of user guides and training materials
