Job summary

Viega Holding GmbH & Co. KG in Broomfield, CO is seeking a Product Management Controller to manage sales and margin analysis for product portfolios and support new product development with cross-functional teams in Germany and the US.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a related field and/or at least 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent experience.
  • Industry experience strongly encouraged, CPG background a plus.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product management on new product business case initiatives, keeping projects on track and aligning key financial milestones, business case assumptions, and scenario planning.
  • Perform in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of sales and margin data to identify trends, measure performance, and deepen the organization's understanding of new business opportunities.
  • Evaluate financial performance against approved business cases, identify variances, recommend corrective actions, and capture key learnings to improve future investment decisions.
  • Determine relevant sales and business metrics to measure product success and adoption; use these metrics and business cases to inform product strategy and future initiatives.
  • Manage monthly reporting of key performance indicators for Product Management.
  • Support portfolio governance, including recurring performance reviews, portfolio health metrics, and executive reporting, with recommendations to improve revenue growth, gross margins, product mix, and investment decisions.
  • Collect business intelligence from industry reports, public data, field reports, and purchased sources to inform business cases and new product launches.
  • Build strong communication between Germany and US Product Management teams.
  • Promote effective communication with Finance and cross-functional teams, addressing questions on sales performance, forecast deviations, countermeasures, pricing, and new product launches.
  • Build strong partnerships across Finance, Product Management, Sales, Strategy, and Operations to align financial objectives with product initiatives.
  • Collaborate with fellow product managers and the strategy team to deliver a cohesive customer experience across product offerings.
  • Support roadmap updates with the product management team to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for the Product Management organization.
  • Perform ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Will be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Will be required to attend occasional, local off-site meetings and, as needed, operate a motor vehicle for business purposes.

Job Description Summary

The Product Management Controller is responsible for managing sales and margin analysis for product portfolios, new product sales and development of business cases. They will work in collaboration with other departments to gather, interpret data and formulate high level reporting and make recommendations on those findings. They will manage all financial support for new product development between Innovation Teams in Germany and Tech Hub and Market Management located within Viega LLC.

What You'll Do:

Business Case & Financial Analysis

  • Partner with product management on new product business case initiatives, keeping projects on track and aligning key financial milestones, business case assumptions, and scenario planning.

What We're Looking For:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge and familiarity of computer programs including the Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis in Microsoft Excel, SAP and Business Warehouse
  • Proficient with query and reporting analysis tools, with familiarity of cloud-based solutions and relational database concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member in a cross functional environment

Total Rewards Package :

Compensation

  • Base: $116,000 - $145,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
