Viega Holding GmbH & Co. KG in Kentucky is seeking an Operator II for the 2nd shift. The role focuses on assembly or packing, performing quality tests, and meeting production demands while recognizing basic equipment issues.

You will use measuring tools, assist higher-level operators, train peers, and input data into the quality control system. The Total Rewards package includes base pay of $22 per hour, a discretionary annual bonus, and comprehensive health and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate and control equipment for production processes and monitor output.
• Assist higher-level operators and train lower level operators.
• Use measuring equipment to verify quality specifications.
• Transport materials and manage supplies; notify when stock is low.
• Enter data into the quality control system.
• Perform basic troubleshooting on production equipment.
• Manage multiple machines while maintaining required output.

Job Description Summary

TheOperator II is responsible for the assembly or packing of various products & performing necessary quality tests according to the product specification while ensuring production demands are met. Can recognize basic equipment errors and report or perform basic troubleshoot tasks.

What You'll Do:

Production

• Proficient in all operator 1 job description requirements
• Operates and controls auxiliary and semiautomatic equipment for production process being performed
• Ability to assist higher-level operators.
• Uses measuring equipment to ensure all quality specifications are met.
• Assists in the training of lower level operators
• Operate any material handling and processing equipment required for production.
• Utilize shop floor management system to update CIP boards when necessary
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on production equipment
• Ability run more than one machine while still maintaining required output

Supply Raw Material

• Visually checks work stations to determine if supplies are getting low; pulls supplies from designated stocking areas.
• Transports materials to and from workstations utilizing necessary material handling equipment
• Notifies supervisor and/or material handler when supplies are at reorder levels.

Quality and Testing

• Tests and inspects the produced products to ensure they meet all quality specifications.
• Report when products are outside of the specifications to proper supervision and/or quality personnel
• Perform non-conforming product procedures when necessary
• Isolates and/or rework items that do not meet specifications or quality standards.
• Ability to input accurate data into quality control system

Other

• These duties/responsibilities the person performs are not central to the job or the reason why the position exists or are duties shared with other employees to include, but not limited to, the following: 6S activities, workshops, meetings, cross functional training, etc.

Special Job Dimensions

• May be required to work different shifts as needed.
• May be required to wear assorted PPE for designated work area.

• Base: $22 hourly, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
