Product Line Sales Specialist – Business Aviation Parts

Full-Time | Remote (EST/CST Preferred) | ️ Travel around 5% within the US | $120K Base + Commission | Startup Opportunity

We’re working with our client to find a Product Line Sales Specialist for a newly launched, investor-backed aviation startup in the business of buying Citation 560XL jets, disassembling them, and selling high-value parts to MROs, fleet operators, dealers and aviation part suppliers.

Their goal: turn aircraft purchases into high-margin parts sales—profitably and efficiently.

They're currently a three-person team and looking to hire their fourth team member—a proven aviation parts sales expert who knows how to move high-dollar inventory and thrives in a high-reward, startup environment. The team currently consists of CEO/CFO, VP of Operations (technical expert that knows planes inside and out, VP of Sales (working to drive external sales with customers). With this role, we need a mix of sales and technical parts expertise.

About the Role

You’ll serve as our Product Line Sales Specialist, responsible for marketing and selling components across multiple sales channels and managing customer relationships. This role is a combination of deal maker, parts expert and client relationship builder / account management. You’ll work closely with the Technical Ops VP and Outside Sales VP to ensure inventory is accurately represented and aggressively marketed.

We're looking for someone who can confidently handle all aspects of aviation parts sales, including:

  • 10+ years in business aviation material sales, preferably with Citation 500 series experience (560XL highly preferred)
  • Component-level seller/buyer expertise—with deep understanding of top-value assemblies
  • Experience at a part-out company buying/selling materials from disassembled aircraft
  • Aircraft aftermarket pricing expertise—ability to keep pricing current and apply discipline, especially on the top six parts that drive nearly all the resale value
  • Experience using Quantum inventory system (or similar) to manage parts, documentation, and sales
  • Cold calling skills—both for selling parts and developing future sourcing intel
  • Ability to create and process sales orders, packing tickets, and customer invoices
  • Knowledge of certification, condition, and documentation requirements for parts sales
  • Ability to represent parts across all categories (new, used, overhauled, core exchange)
  • Familiarity with online sales platforms (ILS (Inventory Locator System), phone/email channels, contract-based sales, and pre-commitments for future inventory)
  • Strong relationships across the business jet industry, with a reputation for reliability and results

What You Need to Know

This isn’t your typical aviation company role—it’s a true startup. That means:

  • High risk: Success isn’t guaranteed, and things may be slow or chaotic at times
  • High reward: You’ll be foundational to the company’s growth, with upside tied to performance
  • Full autonomy: You’ll get direction but won’t be micromanaged. Initiative matters here.
  • Full remote: No offices—work from wherever, just be available early if you’re PST
  • Team-first mentality: Late-night or weekend calls may come up. Everyone pitches in.
  • Remote position (EST/CST preferred; PST must be comfortable starting at 5am EST local time if on the West coast)
  • Travel as needed (likely <5%, could reach 25% at times but not likely)
  • We’ll provide laptop, monitor, phone, software, printer, and basic supplies
  • You’ll provide your own desk, chair, internet, workspace setup
  • Travel expenses reimbursed (must be placed on personal card; no company card provided)
  • Base Salary: approximately $120,000
  • Commission: Uncapped, based on parts sold
  • 401(k) Match: 100% on first 3%, 50% on next 2% (you contribute 5%, company matches 4%)
  • Vacation – take as needed, don’t abuse
  • Aviation parts sales professionals with deep experience in Citation XL components
  • Procurement or repair professionals with strong supplier networks and knowledge of inventory movement
  • Former MRO or part-out specialists who understand both pricing strategy and market dynamics
