Description:
The Product Line Manager oversees the Product Support department, which includes Order Processing, Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), and Proposal Specialists. The role involves leading the team to achieve excellent customer service, ensuring efficient quotation and order fulfillment processes, and supporting the multi-region P&L business unit goals.
The manager is responsible for building effective teams, motivating staff, setting department goals, and facilitating training and development to meet organizational objectives. They should have a working knowledge of B&W products, be able to read engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications, and understand customer requirements and industry standards.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with Regional Parts Managers, establishing deadlines, managing workload and resources, monitoring backlog, evaluating technical risks, and ensuring compliance with technical standards. The manager will also handle group initiatives such as managing quote volume and turnaround times, oversee the On-Call team for Replacement Parts, and communicate project changes and collaborations across business units.
