The attorney will defend manufacturers and distributors, participate on national teams, draft pleadings, manage case loads independently, and handle MDLs or coordinated proceedings as needed.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active Bar Admission in WA or CA in good standing.
• 15+ years of substantive experience in product liability or complex litigation.
• Extensive experience defending manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors in product liability/toxic tort matters.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases with high independence.
• Experience with MDLs and coordinated proceedings is a plus.

Overview

A large international law firm is seeking an experienced Product Liability Attorney to join its nationally recognized Products Liability & Complex Litigation practice. This is a non-partnership-track, senior-level position for an attorney who values autonomy, collaboration, and high-level client service while working on complex, high-stakes matters for industry-leading clients across a range of cutting-edge sectors.

What you'll do

• Defend product manufacturers, suppliers, and resellers in complex product liability and toxic tort litigation
• Serve as a key contributor on national and global litigation teams, including MDLs and coordinated proceedings
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, and client correspondence
• Manage day-to-day case responsibilities with minimal supervision
• Coordinate document discovery processes, including collection, review, and production
• Analyze technical, scientific, and causation-related issues central to product liability claims
• Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and clients to develop and execute litigation strategy

Required qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
• Active Bar Admission in the state of residence and either Washington or California, in good standing
• 15+ years of substantive experience in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation
• Extensive experience defending manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors in product liability and toxic tort matters
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases with a high degree of independence
• Strong background in drafting briefs, correspondence, and written discovery responses
• Experience overseeing document collection, review, and production
• Familiarity with causation analysis and failure analysis
• Experience with multidistrict litigation (MDL) and/or coordinated state proceedings
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills
• Strong work ethic, sound judgment, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach

Preferred qualifications

• Large law firm experience strongly preferred

Compensation and benefits

• Annual salary range of $170,000 - $200,000, commensurate with experience and other market factors
