Basecamp Research is seeking someone to run a peptide platform as a product business: study the market, write target product profiles, choose licensing priorities, and shape how partners hear the story.
A strong candidate has a long pharma or biotech track record with peptides or biologics, has closed platform or licensing deals, and writes carefully to bridge science and deal terms with pharma leaders.
The role asks for someone who can run a peptide platform like a product business. That means studying the market, writing target product profiles, choosing what to license first, and shaping how partners hear the story. A strong candidate has a long record in pharma or biotech with peptides or biologics, has helped close platform or licensing deals, and writes carefully. They can talk science with modelers and lab teams, then talk deal terms with pharma leaders, without overstating what the platform can do.
AI models do the heavy lifting of designing peptide candidates, so the value of this role is in deciding which designs matter, for which buyer, and what proof is enough. Judging what is validated versus only promising, setting honest limits on claims, and building trust with pharma scientists stay human work. The role also turns what the models can and cannot do today into clear plans and clear partner requests.
Someone in this seat would work closely with the team building the company's EDEN models and its large genomic dataset, and learn how AI-designed peptides are scoped, tested and positioned for pharma partners. To build this experience beforehand, follow AI-enabled drug discovery platforms, read how their benchmarks and validation are reported, and practice writing target product profiles that say what evidence would prove a case wrong.
