Abound is redefining consumer lending in the UK and beyond, using Open Banking and data science to deliver fair, affordable personal finance. We’re hiring a Product Lead to own the Express/Mid-prime personal loan proposition, from pricing and eligibility to journey design and portfolio performance.

With 4–5 years in lending/fintech, you’ll work closely with risk, data science and commercial teams to scale the product responsibly, balancing growth with credit quality.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of experience in product, credit strategy, analytics or fintech.
• Experience in unsecured consumer lending, especially higher-APR or near-prime.
• Hands-on data skills with SQL (and Python optional).
• Experience with Open Banking data or cashflow underwriting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the Express / Mid-prime product: roadmap, performance and economics.
• Lead how we quote and present offers across marketplaces; optimise eligibility and pricing.
• Own the conversion journey from quote to disbursal; guide Open Banking data usage.
• Shape underwriting strategy and risk policy in partnership with risk and data science.
• Design and evaluate experiments; turn analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Own segment metrics, monitoring and reporting for informed decision-making.
• Present product performance updates to senior leadership and governance forums.
