Job summary

Savannah Search Ltd in New York City seeks a Product Lead for an AI-native accounting platform at seed stage. You will own discovery through delivery, working directly with the CEO and CTO and shaping the roadmap with minimal layers between you and customers.

You’ll turn accounting expertise into product features, guide AI-driven workflows, and uphold high design quality while partnering with Applied AI engineers and product engineers.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in accounting, tax, audit, finance, or consulting, or as a PM in one of the Big 4 or similar.
• Ideally experience as a firm owner, Chief of Staff, or operating generalist making a deliberate move into PE/VC backed early stage startups.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and translating complex financial workflows into product decisions
• Base level UI/UX design and built something with AI coding agents.
• Familiarity with tools such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, Sage, Alteryx, Excel/VBA, and SQL

Responsibilities

• Own product discovery and customer development: run user interviews, map processes, and shape the roadmap with the CEO and CTO
• Work hands-on in the platform (for example, closing the books) and turn that experience into product insights and priorities
• Define product requirements with product engineers, and build evals methodology and datasets with Applied AI engineers to improve AI reliability
• Design and ship small to medium-sized customer-facing features using coding agents and AI workflows (no engineering degree required)
• Analyze production workflows to make sure the AI performs at a state-of-the-art level across close, bookkeeping, tax, and audit
• Drive UI/UX decisions and uphold a very high bar for product and design quality
