Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking motivated interns for the Product Integrity (PI) Department to gain real-world experience in IT Data Analytics and Structured Problem Solving. The role sits in the EQSC Strategic Operations Team and offers exposure across IT, Legal, Chassis, Cab, and Software.

Hybrid work is available, with relocation support to Portland, OR for eligible candidates. Interns will contribute to regulation reporting, data analytics, and problem solving to improve product

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or higher from an accredited college/university or graduated within 1 year of start date (May/June).
• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering with Statistics emphasis or Data Science.
• Demonstrated experience working with relational data.
• Python or R exposure.
• Data cleansing and validation and data analysis and statistical reasoning.
• Structured/root-cause problem solving; ability to communicate analytical findings clearly.
• Engineering, manufacturing, automotive, quality or reliability data experience preferred.
• Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; creative mindset and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Use analytical methods to understand, predict, and improve processes in IT Data Analytics.
• Work with internal and external customers to analyze business data needs and document requirements.
• Develop data set processes and identify patterns using data cleansing and profiling.
• Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality.
• Lead data analysis to support warranty and performance insights and storyboarding for solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to generate insights and define data-driven solutions.
• Support structured problem solving with cross-department partnerships for continuous improvement.
