Job Description
The Product Innovation Enterprise Architect is a technical leader who bridges the gap between business strategy, technology, and product development, driving innovation and ensuring product solutions and architecture support the company’s product vision.
This role is responsible for initiating and leading product solutions that enhance our core product offerings, improve customer experience, create a competitive edge, and mitigate risks. The focus will be on the new product development lifecycle and solutions that differentiate Prime’s product lines.
The Product Innovation Enterprise Architect leads analysis and design tasks to support product solutions across multiple business capabilities, ensuring the architecture improves Prime’s core products and aligns with standards.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Innovation throughout the product development lifecycle to enable innovations and technology adoption that enhance core offerings, ensuring competitiveness, scalability, and sustainability.
- Guide the organization to identify and adopt emerging technologies to improve product capabilities and customer experiences.
- Contribute to creating a competitive edge by integrating innovative products, technologies, and architecture designs into Prime’s value streams.
- Support the Validate and Design & Solve phases by assessing vendors, evaluating solutions, and defining impacts to support the business case.
- Drive architecture and technology choices to reduce costs.
- Enhance customer experience through a customer-focused approach to problems, products, and solutions.
- Communicate benefits and risks of new solutions to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment and a holistic approach to innovation.
- Research and lead adoption of emerging technology trends.
- Advocate for testing new products and technologies on a smaller scale to manage risk.
- Ensure solutions align with business goals and roadmaps.
- Develop and evolve product architecture and solution contexts.
- Identify and drive process improvements for product development and enablement investments.
- Analyze the business-IT environment for deficiencies and technical debt, recommending improvements.
- Mentor and collaborate with technical experts and peers.
- Improve architecture practice processes.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience; HS diploma or GED required.
- 10 years related experience, including 5 years in an architect role.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Additional Qualifications
- Business analysis and architecture experience, including capability modeling, value stream optimization, and business case development.
- Experience defining architecture patterns, effective communication, and leading teams.
- Broad understanding of multiple domains and practical solutions.
- Self-directed learner with experience across various solution types.
- Experience with enterprise architecture tools and significant enterprise initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with NPD, regulatory compliance, healthcare industry, Agile frameworks, and multiple architectural domains.
- Enterprise architecture training and certification.
Physical Demands
- Up to 5% travel.
- Constant sitting, handling, talking, hearing; frequent reaching; occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching.
- Lifting up to 10-25 pounds occasionally.
- Specific vision requirements.
All employees must adhere to security responsibilities and legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
Potential pay ranges from $143,000 to $243,000 based on experience.
