Job summary

Ultipro seeks a Product Health Technician to perform critical repairs and maintenance ensuring product reliability. You will complete jobs to tight timelines, follow safety policies, and accurately manage paperwork and databases. Expect travel up to 75% and field assignments requiring CDL and CAT product knowledge.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years of related experience.
  • Certification or experience in air-condition and brakes.
  • Clean driving record and CDL for field assignment; must be 21+ for field work.
  • CAT product knowledge across diesel, electrical, electronic, hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
  • Work safely and follow WCAT safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete paperwork and access required databases accurately and timely.
  • Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
  • Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble components, test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, provide repair recommendations and perform critical repairs.
  • Test and verify correct operation of repairs and adjustments.
  • Apply general failure analysis to determine proper diagnosis.
  • Perform safety and priority service letters and Planned Maintenance tasks for Product Link units.

Job description

The Product Health Technician is responsible for performing certain repairs and maintenance critical to the health of the product.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
  • Work safely and follow all WCAT safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
  • Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
  • Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments.
  • Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
  • Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determines proper diagnosis.
  • Perform safety and priority service letters issued by Caterpillar and or other manufactures, inspections required in our Planned Maintenance Program, and installation and repair of Product Link units.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3-5 years of related experience and/or testing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certification and or experience in air-condition and brakes.
  • Clean driving record and CDL for field assignment, must be at least 21 to be assigned and operate field vehicle
  • Specific CAT product knowledge of diesel, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems and components.
  • General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, diagnostic software, cranes and rigging equipment.
  • Requires the ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer.
  • May be required to complete a DOT physical.
  • Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
  • Must have successfully completed all level II foundational assessment tests.
