Job description

As a team, we’ve launched five satellites into orbit, signed ten commercial deals worth over $1 billion in revenue, raised over $750 million from top global investors, and recruited a team of over 400 world-class engineers. We all work out of our (legendary) San Francisco office, which was once used to build ships during the World Wars.

Our satellites, which operate from geostationary orbit (GEO), weigh only 400 kg and utilize a proprietary software-defined radio payload. Each satellite can connect over two million people, and we’re very excited for the impact we’ll soon have in the Philippines, Peru, Mexico, and more!

Backed by substantial funding and a passionate, collaborative team, we offer a rewarding work environment where you'll learn and make a significant impact, no matter where you are in your career.

Product Growth Manager

Astranis Space Technologies is on a mission to connect the world with reliable, high-speed internet by building and launching affordable, compact geostationary satellites. We believe that everyone deserves access to the digital world, and we're pushing the boundaries of satellite technology to make this possible.

As the first Product Growth Manager, you'll have a unique opportunity to define and lead our product growth strategy, driving Astranis' global expansion efforts. This is a pivotal role within our commercial team, working closely with sales, marketing, finance, and solutions engineering. Your contributions will shape the future of our product offerings and have a direct impact on connecting the unconnected across the globe.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes in the satellite internet and private network industry.
  • Developing tailored product offerings for existing and emerging verticals (e.g., Energy, Utilities, Aviation, Maritime, IoT, and Technology) to enhance and expand our market positioning and attract new customers.
  • Expanding existing capacity service into a tiered service offering, including defining and packaging the Astranis end-to-end managed service.
  • Collaborating across teams (engineering, marketing, earth stations, network operations, finance, and solutions engineering) to drive product improvements and launch campaigns that maximize global sales.
  • Collaborating with marketing to ensure the highest quality and consistency across verticals and geographies of all external-facing materials, including the website.
  • Develop a data-driven lead qualification system that prioritizes and weights leads based on strategic criteria, refining product marketing efforts and enhancing sales targeting.
  • Leading the development and execution of strategic programs to grow global sales, including new channels and demand generation approaches.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, growth strategy, go-to-market planning, consulting, or business operations.
  • 2+ years of experience in early and growth-stage startups working with lean teams.
  • Technical background in engineering or scientific-related field.
  • Product or growth-related experience in telecom, satcom, or aerospace.
  • Strong business judgment, storytelling, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional project management, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Experience in data analysis, identifying actionable insights, and creative problem-solving.
  • A history of successfully leading complex strategic and operational initiatives.
Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, Astranis locations, and events.
What we offer:

All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.

Base pay is a single component of Astranis's total rewards package, which may also include equity in the form of incentive stock options, high quality company-subsidized healthcare, disability and life insurance benefits, flexible PTO, 401(K) retirement, and free on-site catered meals.

Astranis pay ranges are informed and defined through professional-grade salary surveys and compensation data sources. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.

$140,000 - $170,000 USD

U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required

(To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))

Our mission and our products are meant to connect the world and everyone in it, regardless of gender, race, creed, or any other distinction. We believe in a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we encourage all people to join our team and bring their unique perspective to help make us stronger.
