Job summary

JotPsych, a NYC-based software company for behavioral health clinicians, is seeking an IC software engineer to join as the fourth engineer. You will ship end-to-end user-facing features—UI, backend, database, and prompts—across clinical documentation, billing automation, and the shared intelligence layer known as Cortex.

The role prioritizes product thinking and rapid delivery: you’ll move from prototype to production, pick up design-adjacent frontend work, and help unlock the Cortex

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of shipped production software experience.
• Ability to work across backend, frontend and infra.
• Fluency with AI tools and rapid prototyping.
• Willingness to work in-person five days a week at Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Responsibilities

• Ship 3 to 5 user-facing features in the clinical and billing surfaces.
• Take on design-adjacent frontend work bottlenecked on one person.
• Contribute to the architectural unlock of Cortex, the shared intelligence layer.
• Improve test coverage, dev containers, and infrastructure to free the team for hard problems.
• Develop your judgement about users and push back on decisions you disagree with.
