Job summary

Axalta in Front Royal, VA is seeking a Product Filling Technician responsible for filling, packaging, and testing finished paint products in line with customer orders and batch generation. You will follow ISO 9001/2000, ISO 14001 and all regulations, and operate filling equipment safely while using PPE and lab instruments.

The role requires at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, high school diploma, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, basic computer skills, and the ability to pass background

Qualifications

• 2+ years manufacturing/industrial/production experience.
• Experience with chemicals, packaging, mixing or filling is a plus.
• Good computer skills are required.
• Must pass a background check and drug test.
• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Must be able to work in the United States legally.

• Handling of hazardous materials.
• Manage hazardous waste according to site policy, area-specific procedures and training.

• Own 5S responsibilities for area of responsibility.
• Keep filling line training current to support filling floor production as required

Experience: We are seeking candidates with at least 2 years Manufacturing/Industrial/Production experience. Experience with Chemicals, Packaging, Mixing or Filling experience is a plus. Good computer skills are required.

SUMMARY: Filling, packaging, and testing of finished product paint in accordance with demand from customer orders and generation of batches throughout plant systems. Following plant systems procedures, policies, and processes. Along with safety, health, and environment standards. ISO 9001/2000, ISO 14001, as well as all federal, state, local and corporate regulations. Using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, proper PPE, PMHE and various filling equipment to safely produce a quality finished product to achieve good customer service and business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Knowledge of the physical requirements for the area
• Skills to safely operate various pieces of mechanical equipment within site guidelines
• Skills to do basic math equations
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and carry for a short distance
• Ability to adapt to changing production demandsHigh School Diploma / GED
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Application capabilities
• Other Qualifications: Satisfactory background screening.
• Satisfactory drug screen.
• Medical clearance to wear a respirator.
