Job summary

As a Product Equipment Repair & Maintenence Coordinator you are responsible for taking a leadership role in coordination of maintenance efforts between all those affected by maintenance activities. Areas of focus include learning and using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) when planning, scheduling, tracking, and evaluating work orders through completion. The planner will also create, schedule, and evaluate preventative maintenance routines, maintain the CMMS hierarchy, provide the communication link between the business unit and support areas, and support the CMMS user group. This position will report directly to the Production Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Convert work request to active work orders online (may include entering work orders). Communication reason to requester if work request is cancelled or rejected.
  • Planning work orders will include physically scoping the job, reviewing prior job history, listing tasks, identifying the proper supervisor, estimating the manpower, determining and obtaining material requirements, listing safety, contractor, and special requirements, producing specification sheets, and estimating job costs.
  • Scheduling work orders will include prioritizing work with operations and maintenance supervisors, accumulating and assembling details for all maintenance work to be performed, determining manpower availability through production, PM and shutdown schedules, scheduling work to be done, assigning shift/supervisor/individual to perform work, arranging support help, printing weekly schedules, printing copies of work orders for individual doing the work.
  • Provide a graded down day plan that is based on a balanced ratio of PMs and planned work that drives equipment specific reliability
  • Reviewing work orders in process to ensure timely completion. Perform status follow-ups regularly to ensure on-time completion
  • Review emergency work orders to help prioritize planned work that drives highest level of reliability as well as review PM tasks to eliminate failure point through PM Process.
  • Reviewing completed work orders
  • Generate reports measuring maintenance key performance indicators. PM Compliance, Work Order Aging, Reactivity, etc.
  • Generate PMs through the E-Maint Maintenance system and distribute
  • Track and report PM backlogs by specific category
  • Review completed PMs for completeness >> parts used (inventory deletion), labor hours vs plan, and follow-up repairs (WO generation)
  • Coordinate maintenance PM schedules towards scheduled on time and parts availability
  • Review effectiveness of PM activities
  • Coordinate modifications of PMs with maintenance staff
  • Perform PM audits to verify actual repair is completed
  • Coordinate PM assignment and parts availability to complete work assignments
  • Provide as pending reports to Manager by specific categories
  • Track REA (equipment rebuild related work orders)
  • Develop action plans to prevent critical equipment failures
  • Organize and maintain technical reference files
  • Equipment performance analysis
  • Track equipment history
  • Schedule and prioritize daily operational actives (i.e. work orders)
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $45,900 - $73,250.

Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School diploma required
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or manufacturing within an industrial environment.
  • Proven supervisory experience, including leading employees and managing contractor activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis, resolve equipment failures, and implement preventive actions to reduce downtime.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical technical knowledge, with experience using CMMS, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and Project) for data analysis, documentation, and cost tracking.
