The products being developed are crucial to sterilization efforts of medical instruments within the healthcare industry. Work is performed independently in a shared lab environment. Compensation: $22.00 per hour **Responsibilities:** * Performing standard and routine testing using sterilizing equipment to determine specific characteristics and performance of materials* Operating and maintaining a variety of lab instruments including sterilization vessels* Sample preparation, data analysis, documentation and interpretation of results, and preparing detailed reports as required* Participating in the establishment of new product specifications, test method development and new equipment qualifications as needed* Documenting results in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) following standard documentation practices **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or applicable scientific field* Previous lab experience and/or knowledge of routine testing procedures and equipment* Experience with sterilizers or autoclaves a plus* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Active listening skills* Attention to detail* Understanding the basic concept of measurement systems, testing and calibration This position will require good time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase.
