Job summary

Pace Analytical Services LLC is seeking a lab technician to support the product engineering team with hands-on lab work and data analysis related to sterilization of medical instruments. You will work independently in a shared lab environment and prepare detailed ELN-based reports.

The role involves operating sterilizers, maintaining equipment, and helping establish test methods and specifications with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or applicable scientific field.
• Lab experience and knowledge of routine testing procedures and equipment.
• Experience with sterilizers or autoclaves is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication and active listening.
• Excellent time management and independence after training.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and routine testing using sterilizing equipment to determine material characteristics.
• Operate and maintain lab instruments including sterilization vessels.
• Prepare samples, analyze data, document results and generate reports.
• Contribute to new product specifications, test methods and equipment qualifications.

The products being developed are crucial to sterilization efforts of medical instruments within the healthcare industry. Work is performed independently in a shared lab environment.Compensation: $22.00 per hourResponsibilities:Performing standard and routine testing using sterilizing equipment to determine specific characteristics and performance of materialsOperating and maintaining a variety of lab instruments including sterilization vesselsSample preparation, data analysis, documentation and interpretation of results, and preparing detailed reports as requiredParticipating in the establishment of new product specifications, test method development and new equipment qualifications as neededDocumenting results in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) following standard documentation practicesRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or applicable scientific fieldPrevious lab experience and/or knowledge of routine testing procedures and equipmentExperience with sterilizers or autoclaves a plusStrong verbal and written communication skillsActive listening skillsAttention to detailUnderstanding the basic concept of measurement systems, testing and calibrationThis position will require good time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase.
