Job summary

Mueller Water Products, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineering Supervisor for Pratt Valves in Kimball, TN. You will lead the product engineering team, guide design and development, and collaborate with manufacturing, QA, and sales to meet project objectives.

The role demands hands-on engineering work, strong leadership, and knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methods to drive cost improvements and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• 4–7 years of external product engineering and leadership experience, or 2–5 years with Mueller product experience and demonstrated leadership.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and stakeholders.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD and PLM systems.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities and provides guidance to Product Engineers to meet project objectives.
• Ensures compliant product development using relevant industry standards and specifications.
• Facilitates communication between plant staff and Corporate NPD to drive product diversification.
• Maintains current understanding of product offerings to inform design decisions.
• Establishes test requirements and procedures to ensure quality and functionality.
• Liaises with sales to align strategies and address customer needs.
• Tracks project and backlog status and provides regular updates.
• Provides 2D/3D drawings as needed to meet schedules.
