Job summary

Mueller Water Products, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer for our Kimball, TN facility. You will configure components for butterfly, ball, and water control devices, producing drawings and BOMs, and supporting engineering improvements.

The role requires a mechanical engineering background (or 10+ years of experience), CAD/CAM proficiency, and Lean/Six Sigma familiarity. Travel may be required as part of cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or 10+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with 2D/3D CAD, SolidWorks, Creo and AutoCAD.
Familiar with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Knowledge of CAD/CAM, quality standards, and product development.

Responsibilities

Configure new and existing components to meet customer requirements for butterfly, ball, knife gate, and water control products.
Provide 2D drawings and BOMs; generate Process Sheets for product lines.
Support shop floor engineering and implement improvements.
Lead or participate in projects to improve engineering metrics.
Coordinate with approval agencies for new or modified products and follow-up activities.
Collaborate with internal/external customers to resolve product-related issues.
Identify cost savings ideas with ROI calculations.
Maintain manuals and procedures for ISO certification.
