Job summary

Lam Research is seeking a Product Engineer 5 (Thermal Materials & Elastomers) in Fremont, CA, to drive part development, manufacturing qualification, and supplier collaboration for cutting-edge semiconductor equipment. You will lead development projects from prototyping through deployment, conducting rigorous experiments and mentoring suppliers to achieve robust, reliable products.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with materials characterization, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, or Chemistry with extensive experience.
Strong analytical and experimental design skills.
Experience with materials characterization techniques.

Responsibilities

Drive part development and supplier qualification across the global Lam supplier network.
Lead product development projects from prototyping to field support.
Design and conduct experiments to resolve complex technical problems.
Coach suppliers on recommended experiments.
Present analyses and recommendations clearly.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on specifications and development.
Provide technical support for installation, troubleshooting, and repair of complex product issues.
Work in cleanroom lab or semiconductor fab environments.
