Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking a Product Engineer to own the product definition and configuration management for complex metal enclosures and fuel tanks. This onsite Milwaukee role emphasizes PLM governance, accurate BOMs, and effective change control across design, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Responsibilities include leading ECR/ECN processes, ensuring alignment between CAD, EBOM/MBOM, and configurations, and driving continuous improvement of product data governance and release

Qualifications

• Own the integrity of the released product definition within PLM prior to handoff to Manufacturing Engineering.
• Define and maintain standard product configurations to minimize custom variation and manufacturing complexity.
• Serve as the technical authority for how the product is defined, structured, and controlled within manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Own product definition beyond design intent, including configuration, assembly structure, and documentation readiness.
• Ensure product configurations align with customer requirements, commercial agreements, and internal standards.
• Maintain alignment between design documentation, product structures, and released configurations.
• Own the initiation, coordination, and execution of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
• Coordinate cross-functional review and approval of ECRs and ECNs with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and other stakeholders.
