Job summary

Gilder Search Group represents a global plastics manufacturer in Appleton, WI, seeking a Product Engineer to support product lifecycles, design improvements, and manufacturing floor guidance using SolidWorks.

The role blends office work with hands-on floor activity, eventually reaching a hybrid schedule with remote days after 90 days. Base salary up to $100,000 with an 8.5% annual bonus, plus comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent technical education/experience.
• 5+ years Engineering for manufacturing - molding, machining, assembly.
• Experience working on manufacturing floor support and in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Support product engineering throughout the lifecycle including new product development and sustaining engineering.
• Develop and improve products using SolidWorks for 3D modeling, drawings, and documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing/engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.
• Support design, development, and production of plastic injection molded components and products.
• Evaluate designs for cost, quality, performance, and manufacturability.
• Provide hands-on engineering support to molding, machining, and assembly processes.
• Maintain and update designs, drawings, and specifications across the lifecycle.
• Assist with transitioning new/modified products into manufacturing.
