Job summary

Newell Brands in the United States is seeking a Product Engineer to lead new product development efforts and drive improvements in existing products within a hybrid work environment. This R&D role collaborates across engineering, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, sourcing, and supply chain to ensure product success from concept through production launch.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of plastics product development experience, solid CAD skills (SolidWorks/Creo), and strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• 4+ years product development experience, preferably with plastics.
• Strong problem solving, organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and project management abilities.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and 3D modeling review.

Responsibilities

• Review product designs, CAD models, and documentation for fit and manufacturability.
• Develop test plans and support validation and performance testing.
• Apply quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP) during development.
• Execute product changes using change control processes.
• Investigate issues through data collection and root-cause analysis.
• Support customer and consumer complaint investigations and resolutions.
• Analyze data to identify trends and support findings and recommendations.
