Job summary

Georg Fischer Ltd. in Shawnee, Oklahoma, seeks an Engineer Product responsible for designing and developing tools and equipment for plastic piping system installation. You will create mechanical designs, perform FEA, DFMEA, prototype tooling, and ensure manufacturability.

Responsibilities include GD&T drawings, BOMs, ECO management, life-cycle oversight, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Product Management, and Sales to deliver cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field required.
• 5+ years of tool and/or equipment design.
• 5-7 years of experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Experience in piping system design and/or field piping experience desirable.
• Hydraulics experience desirable.
• Electromechanical experience desirable.
• Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop tools and equipment for plastic piping system installation.
• Perform FEA for tooling and equipment.
• Perform DFMEA.
• Rapid prototyping and hands-on product testing.
• Create GD&T drawings and BOMs; manage ECOs.
• Oversee product life cycle and ECO processes.
• Collaborate with Production, PM, and Sales to address customer needs.
