Job summary

Professional Search by Kingsley Gate is seeking a Product Engineer to lead new product development and cost-reduction efforts in a manufacturing environment. You will own specs, ensure manufacturability, and validate prototypes across cross-functional teams.

You will manage drawings and BOMs, support testing and compliance, and drive engineering change processes while traveling up to 20% for domestic and international projects.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MS a plus.
• 5–7 years of hands-on product development and project management in manufactured goods.
• Experience with sheet metal, extrusions, welding, machining, and injection molded plastics.
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD experience.
• Familiarity with DFMEA/PFMEA.
• Travel 10–20% (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Lead NPD and cost improvement projects for assigned product categories.
• Own engineering specs, manufacturability, testing, and compliance.
• Collaborate with product management, industrial design, manufacturing, and suppliers to build and validate prototypes.
• Maintain drawings, BOMs, and engineering change orders.
