Product Engineer (m/f/d)
Do you enjoy taking ownership of challenging customer problems and want to help build secure communication for regulated markets? Then we’re looking for you as a Product Engineer (m/f/d) to become part of our team! As a Product Engineer (m/f/d), you’ll work with large organizations in healthcare and other highly regulated industries, each with its own processes and systems. That means the work is rarely off-the-shelf: you’ll build customizations, customer-specific projects, and integrations into existing systems. We’re looking for someone who understands what customers really need and takes solutions all the way to production.
How we work
- Duos and trios, not large teams. You own a project together with one or two other engineers, from requirements to operations. Nothing gets handed off to another team.
- AI-native. Coding agents write most of our code. Your work is where the value is: sharpening the problem, defining architecture and specs, steering agents, and reviewing results critically.
- Think first, then build. Specs and a clear architecture keep both humans and agents on track.
Your responsibilities
- Clarify requirements directly with customers and turn them into actionable specs.
- Decide with your team what to build and what not to build, including what stays customer-specific and what belongs in the product.
- Build customizations and integrations into our customers' systems: APIs, workflows, identity and archiving systems.
- Ship your solutions to production yourself, including in customer environments.
- Improve our agent workflows and share what you learn.
- Work across several projects and move to wherever you're needed most.
What you should bring
- Several years of experience as a software engineer, ideally with product ownership.
- You already work with coding agents every day and have your own workflows for it.
- Sharp judgment in code review: you notice when generated code looks plausible but is wrong.
- Solid experience in at least one of our languages: TypeScript, Flutter/Dart or Rust. With agent support, you'll pick up the others quickly.
- Experience with integration projects: third-party APIs, incomplete documentation, and systems you didn't build yourself.
- You enjoy writing: specs, decisions, messages to customers.
- Fluent German and English.
Nice to have:
experience in regulated markets (e.g. healthcare, public sector, finance, critical infrastructure) or in projects with enterprise customers
