Job summary

Pella Corporation in Iowa is seeking a Product Engineer III to lead design changes for productivity, customer service, and quality improvements within multiple projects.

You will manage projects, coordinate with manufacturing, and communicate engineering plans, risks, and progress to stakeholders. A BS in Engineering and Lean Sigma Green Belt are preferred.

Experience with Solid Edge and thermal modeling, plus MS Office and Minitab, is expected, with occasional irregular hours and travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years combined engineering experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Math, or relevant Science or combination of education and experience.
• Lean Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement design changes for productivity, customer service, new product development, and quality improvements.
• Manage projects of varying levels in parallel.
• Implements product designs within the schedule and budget parameters.
• Identifies and communicates implementation problems or resource issues that may affect the schedule or budget.
• Analyzes the risks of new designs or processes and communicates results to Project / Sr. engineer.
• Supports manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on function of the design.
• Interfaces with others in the organization and customers to determine needs and solutions.
