Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc is seeking a Product Engineer in Minnesota to own manufacturing processes for New Product Launch activities and ensure products meet customer expectations. You will lead prototype through production phases and drive continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have up to 3 years in electronics manufacturing, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a technical degree. This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, documentation control, and adherence to quality

Qualifications

• 4 year Engineering or Technical degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0-3+ years of electronics manufacturing experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads manufacturing activities of assigned products through prototype, pilot, and production
• Oversees the implementation of customer documentation changes and internal change orders
• Actively participates in new customer development and new business development
• Analyzes line return information to understand and drive corrective action on manufacturing process issues
• Performs product level FMEAs as required
• Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities
• Performs review of engineering design drawings and DFX reports prior to production release for manufacturability
• Participates in evaluating and qualifying new manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment
• Leads internal and external corrective action plans
• Complies and follow all company policies and procedures
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
